Yoga For The Menopausal Years

January 12, 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Camden Public Library

The Destination Wellness Series on January 12 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Camden Public Library features Erika Manning, who will focus on the therapeutic use of yoga for women as they transition through the sometimes challenging peri-menopausal years and beyond. While yoga’s healthful effects have been documented for thousands of years, science is now starting to prove what the ancients knew. For women, maintaining a regular practice of yoga improves your flexibility, strengthens muscles, balances hormones, improves range of motion, supports pelvic floor integrity, fends off osteoporosis, increases blood flow, enhances lymph and immune system function, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, and improves your sex life. As part of her presentation, Erika will share several techniques you can do at home to create balance, be well, and move through your challenging transitional years with ease.
