Hope Elephants will be a unique rehabilitation and educational facility for retired elephants in Hope, Maine. Elephants will receive state-of-the-art physical therapy in a loving, safe, and comfortable environment. Trekkers is a nonprofit, outdoor-based mentoring program that connects young people to caring adults through expeditionary learning, community service and adventure-based education. Engaging adult volunteers from the community, Trekkers provides educational, experiential and cross-cultural opportunities for young people, emphasizing relationship building and the earth as educator. Students join in 7th grade and participate in an educational expedition each year until high school graduation.

Promotes chartered public schools with the goal of establishing flexible, innovative, and accountable public schools chosen by parents, students, and teachers, and that are non-religious, free, and open to all students without admissions tests.

Founded in 1948, The Rockport Boat Club is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to provide sailing instruction for youth of the community at large. Annual summer programs for beginner to advanced sailors are available from late June to mid August for students under age 16 at the club facility located on Rockport Harbor. The Five Town CSD administers education to students in grades 9-12 from Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville, and Rockport at its Camden Hills Regional High School campus. Community and adult education is also provided for all five towns at this site.
