Your whale watching trips begins with a scenic tour of Boothbay Harbor. Our Naturalist will point out various islands, homes, wildlife and historic lighthouses as we begin our journey in search of the whales. Once we reach the whale's feeding ground we encourage all our passengers to help in our search looking for any spouts, backs, bodies, tails or splashes. Miss Nina is a wooden pilothouse ketch, designed by Phil Bolger and built at the Story Shipyard in Essex, MA. She has a comfortable open seating area in the stern and a large pilothouse with excellent visibility for a warm escape from the occasionally inhospitable weather. It is an ideal place to escape the sun or eat a meal. She carries over 1,200 square feet of sail and is stable when the wind is up. She is elegant in design and has been renovated for a never-crcarrying six passengers.
