Monday morning is generally the best time to watch the schooners as they sail out of the harbor for their week long cruises.

Your whale watching trips begins with a scenic tour of Boothbay Harbor. Miss Nina is a wooden pilothouse ketch, designed by Phil Bolger and built at the Story Shipyard in Essex, MA. She has a comfortable open seating area in the stern and a large pilothouse with excellent visibility for a warm escape from the occasionally inhospitable weather. It is an ideal place to escape the sun or eat a meal. She carries over 1,200 square feet of sail and is stable when the wind is up. She is elegant in design and has been renovated for a never-crcarrying six passengers.
